I am a senior economist in the monetary policy team at De Nederlandsche Bank. Previously I was at the European Central Bank contributing to the digital euro project.

In my research I study central bank digital currency, banking, and the functioning of the European Monetary Union. I am drawn to complex problems with real-world impact, at the frontier of money, payments, and financial system design.

I hold a PhD and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute.
