I am a financial stability expert currently contributing to the digital euro project at the European Central Bank. I am on secondment from the Dutch Central Bank, where I worked as a senior economist. 

In my research I study central bank digital currency, banking, and the functioning of the European Monetary Union.

I hold a PhD and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute.
